Stayed home...

Well, I'm not sure if a person would say I chickened out, or if I'm comfortably setting good boundaries for myself. Ha, it really is very funny, how the action can be exactly the same, but the attitude leading up to it can make it seem totally different. Have I lost you yet? ahhh well...

So, all that to say. I stayed home from church today. I'm a social person who generally loves being out (at anything!) and seeing everyone at church. But, I feel rather drained. Remember what I said in my last post, about not being very good at showing where I'm really at, while I'm at that point? But, I'm very willing to share once that point has lost it's sting... I think that's why I stayed home. I would have to tell people face to face. And honestly, I'm never too sure how to say it, or how to respond. No one has ever said anything unkind. In fact, just the opposite. Sometimes just how kind people are almost makes me choke up though!
The other thing is, who really wants to hear this kind of news? I feel a little guilty telling people...

So, anyways, we (Nate, Emily and me) stayed home and vegged this morning. Emily is a constant source of joy. That girl is so hilarious! She just says and does the craziest things. Thankfully she's gotten so that she's not into quite as much mischief as she used to be. She's a little more focused. She still gets into things, but now it's not so much of a bother. This morning, she wanted yogurt, she gets into the cutlery drawer and gets herself and spoon and gets the foil of the small yogurt tub. All on her own! Before, it would have ment that she would have messed up the whole cutlery drawer, then pulled the foil off only to loose the tub of yogurt on the floor. Ohhhh what a mess! So yes, I am enjoying this new stage with her, still busy, but productive!
Nathan slept the morning away, so I think it was good for him to be home. Rather then being cranky at church.

The kids had a terrific time at my brother's place last weekend. Which, reminds me. I totally ment to mention that in my last post. This is a real miracle really. Jessica had arranged to have my kids for four days about two weeks ago. Nothing was up at the time, she just had it on her heart to do so. And here, the exact day's I needed help with the kids. Really amazing! I'm not sure what I would have done without their help! And, like I said, the kids had a great time. Nathan is sooooo very happy to be home though. He's almost giddy! It's very cute. He keeps hugging Larry and I every chance he gets. He's really a daddy's boy, so he rarely will leave Larry when he's home.

Well, I should figure out something for lunch here for my crew. Thanks for all the notes, you guys are all so nice!
