Psycopath or Naturopath?

The story continues on with Larry's health. He's had about a week now of feeling poor again. Not quite as horrible as at the start, but a few days were close.  For now, it appears that the dr's here have done all they can. We wait until Febuary for scope on his stomach, then if they find something, we'll go from there.

His cousin called last week and asked if he could send Larry to this naturopath that he sees. So we take him up on it... It feels good to do something. Waiting to see if Larry gets worse, or just hanging on the way we are is rather painful. Literally for Larry. Plus, if there is something there and nothing's done for three months... well, who knows how much worse it could get. Anyways, we have tried to get everything done through the medical system, there just isn't the spaces available to get the tests done.

Anyways, he goes up to Edmonton to see this naturopath. It was really very amazing all she could see. She pointed out basically every health issue he has. Even things we weren't concerned about!  Anyways, she's put him on a bunch of.... well.. who knows what it is, hahaha!  Actually, he's not blindly taking things, we have a fair bit of info on it all, but I just won't go into that boring stuff.

He's also changing his diet a lot. Rather, I am changing his diet, lol . Since I do all the cooking. She tested his food sensitivities and none of these suprised me either, it was more confirmation as to what bothers him. He's off all meats, besides fish. He's off some dairy (milk and cream, yogurt and old cheese is fine), no chocolate, no sugar. NO white flour either. Thankfully he can still have whole wheat flour, but a no wheat diet would probably help him right now. This will be a steep learning curve for me in learning to cook so differently. We've generally eaten healthy, but with meat... and milk... and sometimes white flour...  I don't really like fish, so that will be interesting too. Thankfully Larry and the kids love fish! If anyone has any recipes that follow these guildlines, I'd LOVE to hear them!

So please keep praying for him. Because, where things are at right now, he's not doing great. I'm looking forward to seeing him strong and healthy again! With a little more chubb too... lol!

  1. I went to a naturopath many years back and was truly amazed as well... however, I just couldn't stomach paying $$$$$ for supplments that I "needed" to improve my health (not that it was all that bad.)
It did give me some good ideas though, of things to work on.
Love you guys... we're praying! Merry Christmas! Lisa and Dan
