Well, I'm up late, and not too sleepy... So I feel like I should write a post, cause... well.. I can! And that just doesn't happen all the time! Here's a few tidbits from our life lately...
Larry's health... It's a rollercoaster ride. Some almost good days, some yucky days... Some days with a little of both. The diet changes have been interesting. We're trying a few new things, we'll see how it goes. I'm not getting overly excited about anything at this point, since we've had so many ups and downs. I'm just thankful for all the good times, and the times when he's feeling yucky are times of learning for me. Learn patience, learn self control, learn not to get so emotional (how... do... you... learn... that...sigh)... But I'm trying to learn that when I feel discouraged about all this, to instead see this as an opportunity to learn something new. Sometimes, it actually helps too!
We're done homeschooling for the month of December too!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! So yeah... I'm a little excited about that! I haven't yet mastered the lovely art of finding homeschooling "easy and fun". I'm looking into making changes for next year. Possibly a new school board, but I think I'm gonna try a different English program too. We're using ACE (not for all subjects though) and it's good... but I wish that it was all in one book, not 12 small books that could get lost/out of order. I'm feeling more conviction that our focus is not to be just educating our children, but to be teaching them a love for the Lord, first and formost. What am I giving them in life if we don't spend eternaty together? One of the devil's favorite tricks is to get us so busy and distracted that we forget the very most important things. Eternity... This time on earth is simply where we prepare to really live! I'm praying that the Lord will work in my life to be a better example of Him, to them...
Can you tell I've been listening to John Bevere? Listen or read some of his stuff.... you'll laugh., at me. Anyways, he's a really straight shooter, and really makes you think. Here's a few links.

Those links are for part one of each of them... They're worth listening to. I'm very curious to hear what you all think of these. Even if you don't like it, I'd love to hear your thoughts...
