Holidays!

Well, we're back home again. What a fun time we've had too!

We....
Went to a family reunion. Got to meet lots of Larry's family who I've never before met. Lovely people! Larry's brother and family were also there, and a sister-in-law too. We decided to spend an extra day with them so we all booked hotel rooms at a fun place with a water slide and had a pizza party together that night. After all, it was Levi's birthday! So, he had a pretty good birthday :)

We got home on Monday evening and Tuesday I picked up 20 lbs of beans from the hutterites and 5 dozn corn. Then around 3:30 Larry surprised me by coming home from work early. He said pack! We're heading out tomorrow for the Island! Oh my! I guess he had said something to me in the morning about not getting a bunch of work on my plate that day, but I swear I never heard it... So we worked until midnight getting it all done, then packed the next day. We got away by 1pm!

We got to Maureen's (Larry's sister) Thursday night, around 10:30. We caught the ferry just in time. 15 minutes before loading! Traffic in Vancouver was terrible... We had a lovely time with her family. Our kids melted right into their family and were none to happy to have to morph back into our own little unit. Life at our home seems rather dull when there's only 4 children here to play with. 7 cousin's is much more fun!! Such a good time for all of us.

We went to Tofino. I will never do that again.

Loved seeing my Aunty. Far too short of a visit.

Loved seeing my cousins Beth and family and Clark! Again, far too short!

Did not love Emily puking in the van. Graval became our friend on those bendy roads.

Loved the Enchanted Forrest. Wonderful family stop.

The Vancouver Aquarium was way over priced. Emily was a terror there. Nathan wasn't much better. I was never so relieved to leave a place. I think Larry and I would have enjoyed it a lot on our own, or with the two big ones. Or perhaps with a big papoose to tie Emily up into so she'd stop running around and yelling. Wait. They can still yell in a papoose. Sigh.

Vancouver traffic was terrible. Did I say that yet?

The long long long drive home was... long. What a surprise...


So now it's on to school starting up again! This morning went pretty good. We're signing up for swim club and piano lesson's will be starting next week too. Life's busy, again...
