A pic of Em, just for the heck of it :)
I browse around the blogishphere and see all these amazing, snazzy blogs and realize. I have no idea how to do that! There's codes and links and and and.... One of these days the ah ha moment will come and you'll click over to my little spot here and be wowed. Or maybe not. But, you never know!!
Anyways, on to a little update.
Things are going well here. I finally got the news from my biopsy last month. And. Guess what...
I am. Bizarre! Yeah, you had guessed that one right?
Ok, I'll back up for all of you who hadn't heard about this.
In February I found a significant lump in my breast. As must as this is not great, it's not new to me either. I've had it before, and it went away. But this one didn't go away. I saw my dr (or rather his resident) and we had an ultrasound done. They couldn't see anything, but the lump was still there and could be felt. So time went by, and it didn't go away (like the other one had) so we did another ultrasound. Same result. Finally in June I told my dr that I'd just really like to know what was going on. So he sent me to the Breast Clinic in Calgary. Loved the dr there. She was terrific. So she thought we should find out what this was too. So I was scheduled for day surgery . July 30 they cut it out. I was awake for it. Yuck. I hope never to do that again. I don't know how anyone lives through a c-section! I only have a 3 cm scar, I can't imagine dealing with a c-section scar.
(hey, idea, why don't women start suing dr's for needless c-sections? Maybe then they'd stop being so cut happy!)
Anyways, 14 long days later I finally find out my results! I'm fine.
I figured I was fine, but she said there was a hard mass in the middle of the lump that she was concerned about.
But, get this. They don't really know what the lump is.
She said the pathologists had a hay day doing tests on it. But, it's not cancer, which is great news!
So she told me, you're fine, you're just bizarre. I'll be seeing her again in December. She wants to see if it grows back.
So now ya know :)
Again, I'm so glad that everything is fine! Hey, I've implemented some of the chores ideas you posted a while ago. Elijah loves it and it helps me get myself organized too! Thanks!
