Two Weeks old!

I can not believe that Meegan is already two weeks old! In some way it seems like she's always been a part of the family and in other ways time has just flown. I remember feeling so overwhelmed at this stage with my other babies. The exhaustion had set in big time and the help had run out. My recovery this time has been soooo much better! Either it's the fact that I felt so super awful during pregnancy that anything is better or this time really just is easier. Maybe both. I really did feel awful with this last pregnancy. Awful awful awful. Anyways, enough of that, I'm just so glad to be feeling this good!

We've started back into school again, today is official day #2 and things are going alright! Not perfect but I've stayed sane so far! Nathan and Emily are definitely my biggest challenge. Keeping them busy and out of trouble is interesting. I've learned that I can't really plan on getting any housework done during the morning. I'm either teaching, nursing or occupying Nate and Em to keep them out of Levi and Kayla's way. So long as I don't try to do more then that, we do ok.

This will be my first week with the full weight of cooking back on my shoulders too. I'm hoping that I can plan enough in advance to keep on top of things, but I know this will be tricky. More cooking=more dishes! I still don't know what to make for supper tonight...

Meegan is also doing great! I'm so so so pleased that she seems to have gotten her days and nights straightened out! I'm almost afraid of saying that, knowing how fast babies can change... But for 3 nights now she's slept from 10:30-ish till 4am, nurses and goes back to sleep within an hour. Not being up for those 2 hours at night really helps me!  Then she'll usually sleep till 7:30 or 8 and then I'm up for the day. I can handle that routine. She's also getting fatter already! She's out growing clothes!

Well, I'd best run, my stolen moment here is long gone. Kayla's making some grand creation for lunch (involving grated carrots and boiled eggs... she found it in a craft book...) and needs my helps. Later friends! Hopefully I'll post some pics soon!

  1. I think you are doing great! I'm glad you are getting some sleep, hopefully her routine continues.

My 1st month after having my 3rd one was tough. I had trouble nursing and spent most of trying to get him to nurse(he nursed great in the hospital and then when my milk came in he had trouble). I was homeschooling my oldest at that time but didn't get any schoolwork done with her that month.
