This is going to be rather random! I feel like my mind is buzzing in a million directions, with so much to do. So I thought maybe if I took a bit of time and wrote it all down here, maybe I can sort it out! Or, maybe ya'll can straighten me out! lol
I've realized the count down for this baby is coming soon. SOON! I'm due in about 6 wks, but really it would be best to have most everything done in four... Some how four weeks still seems like a long ways away, but a lot of this is stuff I've been wanting to get done for a while now, and if I break it down and do one job a week... I'm overbooked. yiyiyiy!
I need to....
Can pickles
Prep and freeze a case or so of peaches for the winter
Pick and freeze raspberries- they're just finally ready, so maybe I'll even get some of that done tonight.
Prep and freeze green beans? I did this last year and we really enjoyed them, but the hutterites who I bought them from aren't at farmers market this year... I only have enough beans in my garden for snacks really...
2-3 days worth of freezer cooking. I usually try to make 30 + meals (many of them are repeats) every few months so I tried to time it so I would have a freezer full after baby. This one is pretty important to me, can't skip it...
Re-organize my office... this... this is my huge job. My office is really grand central station here. All the homeschool supplies are in there, all the kids clothes are in bins on shelves and I need to make room for the baby's clothes too... Which means moving a bunch of things around or something... I might need to buy
more shelving or something. Sigh... I need to re-sort the bins or office supplies and techie stuff in here too, which I'm totally avoiding because I never seem to know where to put what. And, sorting seems to make more of a mess before it's cleaned up.. I'm dreading this. It pretty much has to be done in the evening so the kids can't get into it. Ok, ok, I'm rambling and going into way too much detail. But this is the big thing that has my head spinning... I've gotten bits and pieces done already which I'm so glad for, but I've still got a ways to go.
Finish sorting and organizing homeschool supplies. This is also part way done. I just need to finish things up. We've already started some stuff too. I need to find a good spelling program still.
Move desk out of our room to make room for the baby bed. Our room is really pretty small so we always have to scratch our heads a bit before figuring out where to put the baby! This time... the desk is gonna go.
Clean house... constant battle...
Wash / sort/ and find a spot for the newborn clothes / diapers/ blankets, etc. I did dig them out of the shed this morning though! Yay! This doesn't stress me out though, this is really a rather fun job :)
Oh and I'm giving up on potty training Nathan before baby comes. He's ready-ish, I'm just too tired and busy to focus on this and to deal with any accidents. Woulda been nice though!
There's a few more things too, but this list is probably boring... I do feel better getting it written down and maybe I'll try to post as I get things done. Whew.
The good news is I think I've figured out what I'm gonna do for the birth of this little one. I've really struggled with what to do and I think I've come up with a plan that will work. I've very relieved!
Anyways, I must run, get supper on, I have 25 minutes and I don't yet know what I'm making... hahaha, wish me luck!
Wow Sara!! You're amazing to even think about doing all of that - and I know you can do it. I only have two kids, not pregnant and I don't accomplish that much.
ReplyDeleteWhat are your birth plans?? Or was that what you would be blogging about later.
Hey, I found out that your old doctor has actually joined my doctor's clinic. I might be seeing him sometime. Anyway, not relevant here.
I can't wait to find out your plan of action for birth. I'll stop by tomorrow to say goodbye and to chat.
ReplyDeleteSara-lyn,
ReplyDeleteYou are nesting. That baby is definatly almost time to come because women have big "ABSOLUTE MUST DO" lists:-).The reality is baby will come and those lists melt away and real life continues.I have done the same thing 7 times in a row.Every time I think that I MUST get certain things done. Some things get done, other things are just immpossiable and then... baby comes and I remember that its all ok and those things will get done and life gets back to a more steady routine.Just remember that this is a time to try to rest as you will expend alot of energy in a few weeks time.Love you Sara-lyn.
love,
Maureen
