Another good reason to exercise

Well, I've been pondering what to write for a couple of days here. I honestly don't really want to continuously blog about my weight loss, or gain. Since, who knows how things will go. I'd like to write enough that it encourages people, but not in such a way that the focus becomes more about, well, vanity.

Vanity is rather an enemy of mine. Not that I don't like to look or feel beautiful, I do! But... it seems our society worships body. Those who are thin, a good right? Wrong!
Now, on the other hand, I rather like being healthy. Oh yes, being healthy is a great thing! Some people can take this to an extreme also, but, that's not what I'm talking about here...
I want to loose weight, and exercise to feel good. To have more energy to play with my kids. And this has been a very slllooooowwww journey, believe it or not. I've known for the last year I needed to loose some weight. Kept telling myself I would do it next month...
But, a friend of mine inspired me! She lost over 30 lbs this year!! She watched what she ate and used her treadmill. Well, dang it all, if she can do it, so can I! Right?? Well, it took me a few months to process it all and to really put it into practice.
I'm just hoping I can keep it up...
But, I read this article today, and it reminds us, it's not just about looking great in those jeans.

In other news... today is thanksgiving!!! I hope everyone is having a super time, feasting and enjoying family. We've been playing games and hanging out with each other here. Good times.

  1. You found a new name for your blog, and a new look. Looks good:) So there's no gym class today, but it's back on next week I'm pretty sure. I forgot to phone you but figured since it's Thanksgiving you'd know...:) I'd phone but you're probably doing family stuff. Ok chat soon. Christine
